This is a series of seven Friday Flash stories. These stories take place before the events of my work-in-progress, in which Fain is one of the main characters. Eventually I'm going to expand and rewrite these into a longer, continuous story.

Virra birds
The rats of the sky, the Verannian equivalent for the yellow press or Wikileaks. Virra birds are little magical passerines that were created to be perfect spies. Unfortunately, the concept of loyalty is completely alien to the greedy little blabbermouths, who sell their information for grain to as many as possible.
